The Broker — What It Is
Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background tells you something. It means the founder knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, that range is broad.
The Software
They offer: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Two major platforms from the same login. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Access to both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used MT4 or MT5 previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. Many people prefer it after comparing.
FIX API is there for automated strategies but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is said to be in the works. That should be a good addition once it is live.
Accounts and Pricing
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Works for beginners.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can sit under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most brokers that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. TabTrade does not.
VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not relevant to most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.
Execution Speed
This is where TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.
Does this affect you? If you scalp, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. The point is the setup is serious. That is something about priorities.
Put together that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and the total package holds up. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit offer execution like this.
The FSRA Question
This is the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
However. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It does inform your assessment.
What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that makes sense is your call.
Welcome Offer
TabTrade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Standard welcome offer. You deposit, they credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Read the conditions before funding.
